Juniper Publishers| The Experimental Behavioral Model and Software to Identify the Mental Activity of Brain

Image
Journal of Psychology - JuniperPublishers Go to Abstract The paper put the general problem; try to identify in the electroencephalogram (EEG) manifestations of mental activity of the brain associated with awareness and the subjective perception of the semantic content of the visual image. For this purpose it is necessary to compare the two states, one of which is characterized by the subjective awareness; another, its absence. To solve this problem at this stage developed an experimental model and software for testing temporary visual discrimination of human abilities, understanding the semantic content of the image with the least of his exposure on the screen. The experimental model and software allow identifying and comparing performance on electroencephalographic two states of brain activity - in which there is a subjective perception of the meaning of the visual image of a person, and when it is not due to the short duration of the presentation of the visual image. Systems-bound and Systems-independent Consciousness Complex Inter-phase in between From Narrative to Science      Authored by A K Mukhopadhyay Consciousness is at the core of behavior and psychology. However, the idea and concept of consciousness is so variable across the cultures that it is difficult to bring consciousness within the purview of science. For the East, consciousness is homogenous, universal and present both within and outside the systems. In the context of systems-independent consciousness, there is use of terms like cosmic consciousness, nature-consciousness, universal consciousness, trans-universal consciousness, non-dual consciousness etc. For the western science, consciousness is heterogeneous, granular and confined to the live-systems like biological cell (c.f., cellular cognition) and all multicellular organisms including us. Consciousness not confined to any systems is difficult to study in science. Two systems, which can be studied in the ...

Juniper Publishers- INDAL: A Computer Program for Comparing Multiple Independent Coefficient Alphas

INDAL: A Computer Program for Comparing Multiple Independent Coefficient Alphas Authored by N Clayton Silver  There are times when one might want to compare the coefficient alphas of three or more tests measuring the same construct. The computer program, INDAL, is introduced which compares multiple coefficient alphas using the omnibus Fisher-Bonett approach followed by subsequent pairwise comparisons using F tests.
